I’m a qualified coach and yoga teacher currently completing my psychotherapy training in Psychosynthesis.
I love this work. Working with me you can expect an open space where you can bring whatever you wish to work with. I will listen with an open heart and create the space and opportunity to allow you to let your light shine.
I work from a space very close to Queens Park station, on Lonsdale Road.
Do send me an email if you want to know more or to book an introductory call.
The introductory call is free and a small fee is payable per session.
Welcome,
My name is Natalie.
There may come a time when we need a space simply to be, a place that feels safe to sit, listen, and begin to share our deepest truths, longings, dreams, and our history, dilemmas, hurts, and struggles.
By travelling in and through, we heal, transform, and open ourselves to see what is trying to emerge in our lives.
If you are interested in learning more about how I work with Psychosynthesis on this soulful journey and how I could support you, please visit my website.
I am a trainee counsellor offering low cost therapy online and in person in Glastonbury, UK. I am currently working towards a master’s degree in Psychosynthesis Psychology, often described as a psychology of hope. This approach is grounded in the understanding that even in the midst of struggle, there can be a ‘evolution’ within us towards healing, growth and meaning.
Psychosynthesis counselling recognises the fullness of human experience – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It invites us to explore how our life experiences have shaped us, while also supporting us to reconnect with a deeper and more authentic sense of who we are.
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. My approach is trauma-informed and collaborative, creating a space where you can feel supported and respected as you reflect on what is happening in your life and within yourself. Rather than trying to fix or rush through difficulties, psychosynthesis encourages a gentle and curious exploration of our inner world, helping us discover meaning within our experiences and move towards a more authentic and aligned way of living.
I aim to offer an inclusive space that honours and celebrates the diversity of human experience, welcoming people from different cultural backgrounds, spiritual or religious traditions, gender identities and ways of being in the world.
Alongside my training, I have a particular interest and experience in working with neurodivergence, and I aim to offer a space that respects different ways of thinking and perceiving. I am also interested in psychedelic integration, supporting people who wish to reflect on and integrate significant or non-ordinary experiences in a thoughtful and grounded way.

I am a Psychosynthesis counsellor. Psychosynthesis integrates traditional psychological approaches with spiritual and existential dimensions, seeing people not simply as their difficulties, but as beings with an innate capacity for growth, meaning, and transformation.
Alongside my counselling training, I am a trained Co-Active Coach. Over the past few years, I have supported people to explore their dreams and move towards living more aligned and fulfilling lives.
I offer support to help you move from where you are now to where you would like to be. In our sessions, we will work together to clarify what matters most to you, align your life with who you are and what you want, and support you in making meaningful and sustainable changes.
Our work can offer practical tools and reflective space to help you connect with what most deeply resonates for you, both in your working life and in your relationships.
Hello! I’m Anna (she/her), a UKCP-registered trainee therapist offering a warm, grounded, and compassionate space for you to explore your inner world.
My approach is rooted in Psychosynthesis, a psychospiritual psychology that honours the whole person: body, feelings, mind, and soul. I also draw on my training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic approaches to help you connect with your innate wisdom and open to new paths of growth and healing. I aim to meet you where you are – whether you want to make sense of the past, feel steadier in the present, or connect with what’s emerging in your life.
I work with a wide range of client experiences, including anxiety, shame, depression, grief, relationship challenges, people-pleasing, burnout, inner criticism, and the effects of childhood trauma. I also support people who come with less specific concerns, such as feeling stuck, a loss of meaning, or a longing to connect more fully with themselves.
I work to hold a space where difference is honoured. I welcome neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients, and the full diversity of human experience.
Based in Stockholm, I see clients in person and online via Zoom with those in the UK and across the EU. Sessions are offered in English.

Everyone has their own reasons for looking for a counsellor.
Maybe I’m the counsellor you’re hoping to find. We can have an initial talk by phone, 15 minutes or so, to see if we want to meet.
I’m an older woman, retired from social work then computing. When lockdown began, I learned of two approaches to spirit, and was curious. They were Psychosynthesis and Druidry, and I took up both. My sense of spirit is now a part of my life.
But counselling starts with where one is, often with difficult feelings or confusions. I’m interested to know what your reasons are for seeking it.
I’m currently in training and under supervision with the Institute of Psychosynthesis; I’m a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy.
I see people in person, in Faversham, Kent, primarily on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. While in training, I offer reduced fees for sessions of 50 minutes.
I am a trainee Psychosynthesis counsellor with the Institute of Psychosynthesis, Middlesex University in London. I am also in my final year of a Masters Degree in Psychosynthesis Psychology. I work with adults across a range of areas, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, life changing events and meaning making.
Psychosynthesis has its roots in psychoanalytical psychotherapy, but it is also known as a psychology of “soul”.
My intention is to hold a compassionate space for you to explore, where all of you is welcome. The invitation is to honour and work with your wounds, past and present, while also creating space for you to connect more deeply with the love and joy, purpose and meaning within you.
I offer online counselling sessions in the UK and New Zealand and in person sessions in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. I currently have limited availability.
“Our sorrows and wounds are healed only when we touch them with compassion”

We all walk our individual paths, and throughout life, challenges arise that can leave us feeling disconnected, lost, ashamed and more. These difficulties shape who we are and how we interact with our reality. We may develop patterns of behaviour as a means of survival from trauma and suppressed emotions, which can limit our sense of self and expression.
During therapy sessions, a gentle, empathetic presence is offered, creating a safe space where you can feel heard, held and supported as we navigate life’s fluctuating occurrences. Together, we can explore your thoughts, emotions and the deeper layers of your experience, creating room for expansion, where both emotional and spiritual healing can unfold naturally.
Using Psychosynthesis Psychology, a holistic approach is taken, viewing each individual as a whole – body, feelings, mind and spirit. This style of transpersonal therapy embraces the concept of continuous change and will, integrating all parts of our being and enabling the individual to move towards balance, harmony and a fulfilling life.
Areas of expertise include:
* Low self-worth and self-esteem
* Attachment/Relationships/Parenting
* Abuse
* Trauma
* High sensitivity
* PTSD
* Depression
* Anxiety
* Psychedelic integration
For those who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language, I am fluent in Spanish.
I have an interest in spiritual exploration, metaphysics, dreams and meditation. Spiritual practices, somatic healing and talking therapy have significantly benefited me, and I hope to assist others in discovering and experiencing these gifts for themselves.
Working with me:
I am a MA Psychosynthesis Psychology student and trainee psychotherapist (UKCP). I offer in-person therapy sessions at London Bridge and I am currently accepting both long-term and short-term appointments.
Hello! My name is Vicky, I’m a Psychosynthesis Counsellor and founder of SoulSpace based in Burnham, Berkshire.
At the heart of SoulSpace is creating a safe space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in supportive environment. A space to discover meaningful insights that can assist in navigating their lives in a more fulfilling and meaningful way.
My work reflects a holistic and inclusive approach to the person that stresses the importance of experience at the level of body, feelings, mind and spirit because each of these are important to living a peaceful and happy life where we are achieving our full potential.
One of my keys strengths is to blend deep empathy with a strong understanding of the holistic, growth-oriented approach that psychosynthesis offers grounded in compassion, insight and a dedication to seeing each person as a whole.
My experience in guiding clients to explore their inner selves and uncover hidden strengths creates a transformative space for healing and self-discovery. Thus, Psychosynthesis is a versatile therapeutic approach that can be effective in a wide range of areas. Here are some areas where psychosynthesis works particularly well:
Personal Growth and Self-Development: Psychosynthesis encourages clients to explore their potential, discover deeper values, and connect with a sense of purpose. It’s an ideal approach for individuals seeking to understand themselves more fully and develop a greater sense of self fulfilment.
Anxiety and Depression: By addressing not only symptoms but also underlying conflicts, psychosynthesis helps clients uncover the root of emotional challenges, promoting a more balanced inner life and greater resilience.
Life Transitions: Whether it’s career changes, relationship shifts, or other major life events, psychosynthesis helps clients manage transitions by exploring the psychological and spiritual dimensions of change, allowing them to adapt with greater clarity and strength.
Trauma and Past Experiences: Psychosynthesis helps clients work through traumatic experiences by integrating these memories into a coherent sense of self, reducing their lingering effects and enabling a sense of empowerment over one’s life story.
Identity and Self-Esteem Issues: This approach helps clients explore the various aspects of their identity, recognise inner conflicts, and build self-worth by fostering self-acceptance and inner harmony.
Existential Concerns and Spirituality: For individuals grappling with questions of meaning, purpose, and spirituality, psychosynthesis provides tools for exploring and integrating these existential concerns, supporting a deeper connection to one’s life purpose.
Relationship Issues: By helping individuals understand their own motivations and patterns, psychosynthesis can improve communication and empathy in relationships, making it useful for couples or those navigating family dynamics.
Addictions and Behavioural Issues: Psychosynthesis helps clients identify and address underlying needs that may be driving addictive or self-destructive behaviours, fostering healthier coping strategies and self-awareness.
My approach is warm, authentic and relationship led. Each session is tailored to the individual’s unique needs, fostering growth, resilience, and self-understanding.

Hi, my name is Jessi or Jess,
I hold diplomas in counselling (BACP) and psychotherapeutic treatment (UKCP) as well as a Master of Arts from the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. I specialise in embodiment in psychological treatment and I accompany people in therapy and coaching and have been applying Psychosynthesis in my leadership roles in clinical and organisational settings since 2018.
Psychosynthesis came to offer me the framework through which I now approach my work – and my entire life really. Many common psychologies and psychotherapy treatments seem to have lost the animating sense of soul in any human experience. Often treatment is focussed on fixing problems or eliminating symptoms and to bring the person back to the ordinary state of functioning. Whilst this is a way surviving, the opportunity is missed to help understand the deeper message. An important message with pointers towards new directions often lie at the heart of our struggles and suffering.
For my practice, this means problematic experiences and harmful behaviours will be addressed and treated in the process of growing and becoming. As a psychologist and neuroscientist, I acknowledge the medical view of symptom categorization and diagnoses where useful yet hold a more sensitive and life-giving lens towards what is going on for you beneath.
Many of us lead lives of quiet desperation before reaching out to help break the spells of history, social conditioning, stigma and so forth. Sometimes the consistent knocking within us is amplified over time, and we begin to listen. Sometimes it needs a transformative experience, or a life crisis, to shake us awake from a state of trance. We begin to seek a way to face whatever is troubling us. We thereby bring back to life lost aspects of ourselves which we need to move forwards and to feel whole – perhaps for the first time in our lives.
I am a Psychotherapist and Supervisor with over 10 years’ experience. I hold qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and an MA in Psychotherapy with the Institute of Psychosynthesis. I also hold a Diploma in ‘Supervision with Soul’, with Re-vision.
I offer an integrated approach, grounded in Psychosynthesis and drawing on various other methodologies, which helps clients arrive at a place of self-acceptance, self-knowledge and a compassion towards themselves which is capable of healing deep wounds.
Psychospiritual work takes what can at first appear to be an unmanageable crisis and provides the fertile landscape necessary for positive change and growth to emerge. It acknowledges the fact that our struggles are resonating at the level of our soul, calling us to become the person we are meant to be.
I offer sessions online and in person in South London.
I’m currently training at the Institute of Psychosynthesis. I offer counselling sessions where you will have space to work through something that is troubling you and I will be alongside you to support you.

What if you could return to finding joy and satisfaction in life?
When we’re at a low ebb it can be hard to ask for help. We don’t want to be a burden or let others down.
Sometimes we push away the people we love. Or we turn to drink or drugs. Part of us knows this isn’t serving us but we seem to find ourselves doing it anyway.
I can steer you through this difficult passage towards calmer waters. From this stillpoint we can discover what moves you by locating your internal compass and trusting it to guide you. Slowly but surely you can reorient and navigate once again towards the things that matter most to you.
If you’re ready to make the deep and long-lasting changes that will help you reimagine your life I’d be honoured to guide you. Message me to arrange a consultation when you feel ready.
I am particularly interested in dream work, meditation, creative expression, spiritual exploration and working with archetypes & mediums such as tarot.
Everyone has a story, a challenge, a problem or a difficulty that they want to address. Maybe you have something you need help exploring, overcoming, understanding or accepting.
The big secret is that you already have the tools to live an authentic and happy life, you may just be facing some challenges that make it hard to live that truth. Through our work together I can help guide you towards sustainable and meaningful change.
Hello! My name is Stephen Powell.
I have been working in the environmental technology sector for twenty years, which I still do part-time. I have also been a practicing Buddhist for over fifteen years and am an ordained member of the Triratna Buddhist Order in which I teach meditation and lead retreats. Elsewhere I also both play the violin and make violins too… and now I’m a psychotherapist-in-training in Cambridge.
Quite a mixture! I believe everybody has a unique journey in life, and that we all have the opportunity to live a life of meaning and value.
In my life I have benefitted greatly from both therapy and my own spiritual practice and I would like to pass on those gifts to others.
Let’s introduce myself: My name is Wim Verbeek. Since early 2022, I have been pursuing my MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology at the Psychosynthesis Institute in London. Psychosynthesis has come to mean more to me than just a method for coaching, counseling, or therapy; it is a way of life for me. In 1998, I completed my initial training in Psychosynthesis at the Psychosynthese Institute, which is now based in Hilversum, the Netherlands. I furthered my professional training as a Psychosynthese practitioner in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, at the Psychosynthese Academy, and since 2018, I have been operating my own practice in Amsterdam. In addition to individual counseling in my practice, I also facilitate a weekly psychosynthesis therapy group.
For me, working with clients in practice means embarking on a journey together, a journey towards a conscious and loving life. Psychosynthesis supports this process of learning to love again, making conscious choices, and fostering right relations—a Psychology of Love and Will.
Feel free to explore my website for more information, and please don’t hesitate to contact me for an informal introductory online conversation or to schedule an in-person meeting at the practice.
I am a Psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience working the counselling and caring professions.
The context of my work, Psychosynthesis, holds that every person’s life has meaning and purpose, which guide us toward a flourishing of who we truly are. My practice weaves the insights of psychotherapy with an attentive regard for the deeper dimensions of life – emotional, psychological, and spiritual – guiding us towards the threshold of becoming – the wellspring of the heart’s wisdom.
When our ability to thrive is blunted by life’s difficulties, the ground beneath us can feel shaky, thinned by loss, grief or confusion. In therapy we take time to make sense of what is happening, building steadiness while also listening for what is emerging.
I offer space to bring both what hurts and what calls; together, we invite them to unfold with safety, openness and tender compassion. This compassion itself becomes part of the healing: a way of moving from self-judgement towards deeper understanding, clarity, and more authentic choice.

I am a professional counsellor and non-religious celebrant living and working in rural Scotland.
Prior to training as a therapist, I was a Steiner Waldorf teacher and writer. I came to Psychology by way of storytelling and I am Jungian at heart, transpersonal in practice.
I treat depression, anxiety, grief and spiritual crisis through right relationship within a therapeutic alliance. I strongly focus on integrating personality fractures by healing trauma. I’m good with grief. [And also despair.]
I see local clients in person at my office in West Kirk and I also work with people across the UK (and abroad!) via zoom.
Matthew is an experienced, qualified counsellor, coach and accredited psychotherapist with 15 years experience. Matthew is also a Supervisor, Trainer and Group Worker at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London. Matthew works with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, bereavement, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, procrastination, abuse and trauma. He works with individuals and couples within a safe, supportive and, if required, challenging space for you to explore past or present issues which might be troubling you.
Matthew is originally from London and has worked as an actor and musician and enjoys working with creatives of all kinds. Over the past 10 years Matthew has worked with training healthcare professionals in communication skills, enabling them to handle complex and challenging issues.
I am UKCP registered psychotherapist based in Stroud. I also work online.
I am a UKCP registered supervisor at the Institute of Psychosynthesis.
I am a Psychosynthesis Counsellor and a Psychotherapist in training in my penultimate year at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, University of Middlesex.
Within therapy, I hold that each of us is already enough and complete. And… we may be wanting different, more, for ourselves too.
My passion lies in helping guide others to live to their aspirations and beyond their crises, using personal will to access the choices that enable meaningful long-term change.
I am a qualified counsellor trained in Psychosynthesis which is a psychology of hope that looks not only at our shadow, that is what we struggle with in ourselves, but also towards our potential. It believes that in order to heal we need to bring awareness not only to our wounds from the past, but also to what calls us forward in life — our desire for meaning. It also sees our struggles as stepping stones that we can use to build upon and grow beyond what we thought was possible.
In our sessions, I will offer you a safe space to explore your challenges, as well as your way of dealing with them – whether they are helpful or not. Together we will gain awareness of the parts of yourself that are at play, of your history and of your inner resources. As your therapist I will help you understand yourself at a deep level and find new perspectives on your situation. With increased awareness, shifts will begin to happen within you that will have a positive impact on your life outside of therapy. Some of the outcomes from therapy can be: increased clarity, self-acceptance and overall get a better sense of who you are as a person and acting in accordance to that.
I also have experience working as a career coach having trained in this area.
Hampstead Therapist
I am a qualified Integrative Therapist, BACP member.
In addition, I am a Psychosynthesis counsellor, and I am completing my Masters in Psychosynthesis Psychology at the Institute of Psychosynthesis.
I have worked mostly in the areas of addictions, depression, anxiety, co-dependency, bereavement, low self-esteem, family issues, spiritual crisis and other blockages or traumas.
Being of service to others in the form of helping a ‘fellow traveller,’ providing a safe, empathetic, non-judgemental, compassionate space is the foundation of my practice. The work is done collaboratively, so that you feel supported and encouraged in working through your barriers, becoming more connected to your Authentic Self, and living a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
In my experience, healing and positive change often begin with challenging crises, but with the appropriate therapeutic alliance, where the client feels understood, motivated, and invested in their work with the therapist, a shift from survival mode to thriving occurs.
I have been practicing meditation, especially pranayama (breathing meditation) and Vedic chanting for the past 15 years and find it to be a soothing and helpful tool in the process of healing, which is also available to you in your session, if you so choose.
My practice is 2 minutes from the Hampstead Heath Overground, very near the enchanting Hampstead Heath in northwest London.
Walking therapy is also available.

If you’re really struggling and unsure where to turn, then I might be able to help you. It can be daunting finding a therapist, so let me tell you a bit more about who I am and what I can offer you.
A bit about me
Hello, I’m Neil. I’m a registered BACP and UKCP psychotherapist offering a safe, comfortable, and confidential space in the heart of Leicester city. The space will be yours to share what’s going on for you and really be heard.
Before becoming a therapist, I gained over 25 years of experience working in children and family social care, bringing significant insight into childhood and teenage trauma and its impact on how we see ourselves, how we see the world and how we behave in relationships with others.
What I can offer you
My approach uses a variety of techniques to help you overcome personal challenges, achieve a greater sense of self-awareness, and support real personal growth. As well as offering talking therapy, I use other effective tools including meditation, mindfulness, body/feelings work and creative art materials, if and when it feels right for you.
The modern pressures of life can take their toll on us – increasing responsibilities and being connected 24/7 can leave us feeling burnt out, anxious, and overwhelmed. Even when we do manage to disconnect, we find it difficult to disconnect from our racing thoughts. If you’re new to therapy it can be daunting, however taking this brave step can be rewarding. It can give you the space to explore what is really going on, process difficult emotions, develop healthy coping strategies and restore your mental well-being – so that you aren’t just surviving, but thriving in the world.
I am a qualified counsellor registered with the BACP. I am trained in Psychosynthesis, which is known as the “Psychology of Hope”. Whether you’re hoping to make a change (in yourself/life/relationships) or to manage change – I am here to help you. I am still part of the “Student Therapy” stream at the Institute as I’m continuing my training to psychotherapy level.
As well as working as a counsellor, I am founder of a charity that empowers young women in East Africa called ETC. Previous to this, I held a number of leadership positions in the Financial Services industry, as well as the start-up world. Having lived in India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Uganda and the UK – I am adept at working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I have an interest in Buddhist psychology and psychedelic psychotherapy (which is the basis of my thesis Masters in Psychology).
I offer an initial free phone consultation to see if I would be able to help, answer any preliminary questions you might have and for us to get a sense of what it might be like to work together. If we decide to proceed, we will establish a counselling contract to ensure transparency, confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.
I am concerned with helping you, by appreciating your uniqueness, and fostering a relationship built on trust. While focusing on your life now, we will explore and learn about your strengths, challenges, and aspirations. While any diagnosis significantly impacting you, is important for us to explore, it does not define your identity or capabilities.
Therapy over the medium to long-term commitment can be a gradual process of exploration and discovery, allowing for a deeper understanding between us.
Psychosynthesis integrates the variety of our human experiences, including spiritual, emotional, cognitive, and physical. Psychosynthesis is interested in how the past impacts our present, and helps us come to connect to our purpose, meaning and values.
I see counselling as a partnership in which I walk alongside you, offering my professional support, experience and guidance as you navigate the complexities of life. Please feel free to contact me for a no obligation conversation.
All of my clients are unique, with their own story to tell as they journey through life.
They experience challenges and ups-and-downs which can sometimes make their journey hazardous, sometimes painful – and sometimes they just feel lost and in need of a guide, or someone to talk to.
I work with clients helping them to build strong foundations for living in the here-and-now, enabling them to cope with the anxiety, depression, issues and traumas that life can bring; I work to increase awareness of the energies keeping clients trapped in patterns and thoughts stopping them from being their fullest self.
In this busy, fast-paced and sometimes hectic world, I offer a space where clients can pause and choose to step out of the tumult of the external world, and obligations to others, and take an hour to nurture their inner selves, to tune into their needs, their fears, unhelpful patterns or unresolved issues stoping them living their lives fully. A space where they prioritise their journey, their psychological well-being and their hopes and dreams. In doing so, they can return to the outer world refreshed and empowered.

I am a psychospiritual counsellor offering affordable counselling in person and on-line. I am based in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. I have achieved a masters in Psychosynthesis Psychology, accredited with UKCP.
Having qualified initially as a health care professional over 10 years ago, I have practiced mainly within acute mental health services. Consequently, I know the value of baring witness to, and caring for, another’s suffering, as-well-as personally receiving witnessing and care from colleagues and mental health professionals.
I offer a safe space to relate, process, explore, emote, emerge.
If this is something you’re looking for then give me a call.
I offer confidential, professional support in a relaxed and beautiful setting ~ exclusively for women. I work with whatever difficulties or challenges you may be facing, at a pace that feels safe and right for you.
My practice is based south of Norwich amid tranquil gardens and woodland. Here I provide a confidential, nourishing space where you can be seen and heard. We can gently explore your feelings and fears and what may be holding you back, as well as your hopes and aspirations for the future. Where appropriate, I draw on techniques such as guided meditation and visualisation, inner-child journeying, basic somatic experiencing and the exploration of your symbolic imagination and dream life.
You have control over how we work together, but whatever you choose to share with me can become fertile ground for self-knowledge, creativity and rejuvenation. Essentially, our therapy space is a collaborative, co-creational process in which I commit to supporting you in a deeper and more meaningful connection to your potential, helping you make more authentic choices around the life you want to lead.
I’m a fully qualified Psychosynthesis Counsellor and registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association of Psychospiritual Practitioners (APP), and I abide by their code of ethics. High standards are further ensured by regular supervision at the Institute of Psychosynthesis.
Therapy sessions are 60 minutes, weekly, and cost £50.
I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space for individual adults to explore and gain a different perspective on their experiences, suffering and distress. Whilst listening deeply to the message of the presenting difficulties, we work with emerging potential and a desirable outcome.
My original therapeutic training was in psychosynthesis, but I use an integrative approach and incorporate learnings from various modalities including Person-Centred, integrative and soul psychology approaches.
My work encompasses the wide and diverse range of human experience, and I have a particular interest in working with people of colour.
I work holding a context of hope and possibility, whilst incorporating and recognising the challenges that life can dispense which can include discomfort, disappointment, agitation, confusion and uncertainty.
At the heart of my practice style is an attentive and devoted listener. I am willing to take time, to travel with each person, for as long as they need. Often, our hectic world does not provide the space we require for self-connection. In our busy and active lives we are asked to strive, do more, to maintain the treadmill. These behaviours often leave little time to find any space to re-balance, de-stress or to align with our true needs, interests and values.
I work face-to-face and online via Zoom.
THE WOUND IS THE PLACE WHERE THE LIGHT ENTERS YOU
-RUMI
I’m a qualified psychosynthesis counsellor with special interest in childhood trauma and existential crisis.
From my personal experiences came the need to understand and harmonise my condition. This inner journey soon transformed into a purposeful path where my suffering gained meaning and could be seen in a positive light. Great wisdom and beauty can come from suffering and I wish to be a guide to those willing to look closer to the difficult, painful or even destructive aspects of their personality.
I aim to create a safe space where one can learn to identify and understand the many aspects of their personality, focusing not only on the subconscious, but also on the superconscious realm of insight, inspirations and aspirations, working to create a harmonious environment both inner and outer.
During sessions I may also offer guided meditations, somatic movement, EFT (tapping) or make reference to numerology and astrology.
We all long for a connection in which we are never reduced or misunderstood. Therapy is a journey of self-discovery, through which we develop a deeper self-awareness, can recognise patterns and make kinder, more positive choices for ourselves and those around us. By bringing awareness and understanding to what is causing us pain or problems, we can learn to move away from self-defeating patterns of survival and towards a new future aligned with our inner integrity.
Psychosynthesis is a transpersonal psychology that works holistically, nurturing synergy between all parts of your personality, enhance introspection, build ego strength and foster resilience. Instead of a pathologizing psychology, psychosynthesis is kind and empathic before it is probing and analytical. Keenly aware that symptom is a message to be understood rather than an obstacle to be removed, I hold an attitude of respect and a committed interest for the being of the client, the unique and mysterious nature of the other.
Having had a career in finance in London for over 10 years, I am currently training at the Institute of Psychosynthesis towards a diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy. I am a registered trainee psychotherapist with UKCP and adheres to its Code of Ethics and Practice.
“You can only lose something that you have, but you cannot lose something that you are”. – Eckhart Tolle
A large majority of suffering is related to a disconnection to ourselves. Trauma makes us feel alienated, depressed, reactive and more. These symptoms are a sign of this disconnection. I offer a space where we can explore and re-enter connection with ourselves and life to feel empowered and content again.
To name a few of the areas psychosynthesis can be helpful with:
- Struggles with purpose and meaning
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Bereavement
- Psychospiritual issues
- Low self-esteem/confidence
- Relationship struggles
and more.
Please visit my website for more information and to contact me regarding an initial free phone call to see how I can assist you on your search for healing and wholeness.
I also offer psychosynthesis coaching where I can help guide you on your personal development journey as well as reaching your goals and aspirations,
I look forward to hearing from you,
Danny
My name is Rachella Michaels, and I graduated from The Institute of Psychosynthesis as a Psychotherapist in 1999. I have worked face-to-face and online with individuals and couples since then.
Since the Psychosynthesis training I developed a keen interest in neuroscience and its findings, particularly in relation to the links it has found between body and mind, and how they have and continue to impact on psychotherapy, particularly in connection with working with the fallout from traumatic experiences, whether developmental, generational or incident related.
In my work I encourage the growth of self awareness and agency (the personal right to choose), the exploration of personal needs and motivations, and the psychological obstacles that block carrying out those choices or making sure those needs are met.
I have received couple therapy training following the Emotion Focused Therapy approach. I chose EFT because I felt it fitted well with the attachment style work I had become familiar with in Psychosynthesis, and because it included the focus on emotion which in my view needs to be at the forefront of couple therapy.
My work is none confrontational, and encourages the experiential development in the individual of personal skills, learnings and realisations, that support and strengthen their sense of self, their ability to face adversity, and their ability to self soothe and remain focused.
I work from just outside Salisbury in Wiltshire, both face-to-face and online, with people all over the UK and Europe.
Hi my name is Claudia and I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a Masters in Psychosynthesis Psychology, accredited with UKCP.
Originally from Germany I have lived in the Uk for 20 years now.
My approach is warm, authentic and relationship-led. I am most interested in the connections we make with one another and how good connections can lead to a healthier, happier life.
I have a special interest and experience working with relationship issues and highly sensitive people.
Psychosynthesis shows us who and what we truly are. As light falling upon a bud can cause it to unfurl, the work done in a psychosynthetic context is capable of bringing remarkable and transformative change.

Hello!
I work as a Psychosynthesis psychotherapist and supervisor and my practice is anchored in Psychosynthesis.
Psychosynthesis is a wonderful therapeutic approach and a roadmap for life. It allows us to consider our suffering and what we struggle with in the here and now, but importantly it allows us to consider what this might mean for our wider psychospiritual journey. We can all struggle at times, trying to figure out who we are and what it means to be human. We all face crises at different times of our lives. How might we meet them? Perhaps we meet these crises with a fearful lens, but actually how might these situations serve our growth? How might we look at our lives and hold a spirit of adventure, reframing all that happens as part of the story, albeit sometimes extremely painful parts? In the words of Assagioli “There is no certainty, only adventure.”
We cannot know the meaning behind all that happens, but we can start to live more in the present, less controlled by our history and less fearful about our future, free to make choices about our lives and what we would like them to be about. Psychosynthesis gives us the tools to live in this way and supports us to find out who we really are; working through our history and awakening our sleeping gifts. In that sense we are not defined by our trauma or our conditioning, we start to live Self-directed lives, with meaning and purpose aligned with our values. Becoming conscious and finding who you are is the great gift of Psychosynthesis and it is the great challenge for humanity. If that is an adventure you would like to go on, please get in touch!
Location: Cardiff. As well as seeing clients face-to-face, I also offer online therapy.
At times we may experience difficulties where we feel stuck or overwhelmed, or periods of unhappiness or anxiousness that doesn’t allow us to feel we are freely making decisions and acting to our true selves. I can support you to find meaning and purpose in your life and learn to have a healthy relationship with yourself and others, and identify your true potential.
I am a qualified accredited psychosynthesis psychotherapist (UKCP Registered) experienced in individual and group therapy. I have worked as a therapist at Priory Roehampton and Priory North London and more recently as a part of the therapeutic team setting up Priory’s new residential clinic in Mill Hill London.
I have experience of working with a wide range of concerns, including: childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and addictive behaviours.
My approach encourages personal growth by promoting change within the individual and bringing together different dimensions of the whole: the behavioural, cognitional, emotional, volitional and spiritual.
I am a Psychotherapist, trained with the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. I offer confidential, safe space for the exploration of your inner world; an opportunity to clear the path towards living life as the fullest version of yourself. Each individual is a unique being. I consider it a privilege to accompany you on your journey of unfoldment.
It sometimes takes a crisis for us to take the first step into therapy, or you may already have experienced therapy and wish to go deeper in your process. Whatever your reason, it is my genuine sense that the depth and hope psychosynthesis offers, together with energy psychology techniques in which I am also trained, offer a powerful combination for the journey back to your essential self.
Since 2004 I have worked extensively within the areas of trauma, anxiety and chronic conditions, where by using the body and energy systems, the effects and symptoms held within are released. I am also an accredited trainer and supervisor within the field of energy psychology and EFT.
I work in-person in north London and on-line.
Chris Ambrose
Counselling – Psychotherapy & Coaching.
People often come to therapy carrying deep pain. They may have experienced trauma, loss, relationship breakdowns, or found themselves simply surviving — disconnected from meaning and using whatever they can to numb what feels unbearable.
I offer a space where we can gently explore these experiences at your pace, with care and without judgment.
Psychosynthesis meets each person not only in their difficulties, but also in their capacity for wholeness. I believe in our innate capacity to heal, grow, and reconnect with who we truly are.
Therapy, as I see it, is a collaborative process that supports you to move towards greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and choice.
Together, we can begin to uncover what really matters to you and move towards a fuller, more authentic way of being in the world.
I also support students currently training at the Institute of Psychosynthesis.
In addition to psychotherapy, I am a practitioner and master practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), hold diplomas in both Psychosynthesis Leadership and Life Coaching, and have training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
I have experience in many different areas of therapy and can work with a wide range of issues.
I offer a free 30-minute, no-obligation telephone or Zoom consultation to talk through any concerns you may have and to find out how best I can support you. Please call or email for more information, or visit my website.
Online and in person counselling and psychotherapy.
I provide a warm and compassionate space for you to talk about whatever it is that may be troubling you. I can help you to find new perspective and gain deeper understanding as we explore the parts of yourself you least understand, and uncover your own innate ability to heal and transform your life. As you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, what you want and how you relate to others, your emotional wounds transform into wisdom and your relationships deepen, the burdens of the past and worries for the future become lighter as you begin to live more freely and fully in the present.
I have always been curious about what motivates and inspires people through their lives. For a number of years I travelled and lived in different countries and cultures eventually settling back in the UK and a career in publishing and later photography. It was through my own experience of seeking therapy and learning to view myself and others through a more compassionate lens that inspired me to train as a counsellor and psychotherapist.
I’m passionate about personal, professional and spiritual development and I sit alongside my clients with empathy, acceptance and respect knowing we are both on a journey of self discovery to become more of who we truly are.
If you’d like to have a relaxed, no obligation chat to find out if therapy is right for you at this time in your life do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. My practice is in the centre of Frome in a peaceful and discreet setting and I also see clients online.
I offer online sessions for anyone feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, burned out, stuck in self-sabotage, or quietly sensing that life feels “off.” Maybe you’re navigating big changes, questioning who you are, or longing for something just out of reach.
Whether it’s your first time in therapy or a return after a break, you’re welcome here. This is a space to show up as you are, be truly heard, and know someone is here with you through the heaviness and uncertainty.
I work from a psychospiritual, psychosynthesis-based approach, seeing your struggles not as “problems to fix,” but as signposts guiding you toward growth, healing, and a deeper connection with what matters. Therapy with me is about becoming more whole, conscious, and aligned with your inner truth.
I’ve seen how this perspective can help people make sense of their challenges, so I support those navigating anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, heartbreak, trauma, difficult relationships, creative blocks, life transitions, questions of identity, and feelings of disconnection or longing. Highly sensitive individuals, changemakers, and LGBTQ+ individuals or those exploring non-traditional relationships are warmly welcome.
Institute trainees are very welcome. Depending on my caseload, I am usually able to offer discounts to trainees.
Wherever you are, you don’t have to face it alone. I walk alongside you, moving at a pace that feels right, keeping your voice and experience at the heart of our work. I’ve been there myself, feeling lonely, stuck, and unsure of the next step, and I know how powerful compassionate support can be.
If you feel ready, I’d be honoured to support you on your journey.

Our symptoms are messages from the Self; unconscious issues are calling for your attention and transformation
I am currently offering sessions in-person, online over Skype, Zoom or by telephone.
Hello, I am Ali, I am both passionate about, and fascinated by human relationships and what makes us who and what we are. The whole of my working life has been about connecting with people, listening, coming alongside, seeking to understand and helping to make sense of what life has dealt us, and how we can best respond, learn and grow from even the most difficult life experiences. I qualified as a counsellor in 2003 working in the field of sexual abuse, and trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London graduating as a Psychotherapist in 2010. During my training, I lost my son to cancer, which took me on a profound journey into grief and love, which opened me to the depths of Presence and the beauty of life and the growth process that can come through being undefended to human suffering. I have found the Psychosynthesis approach both inspiring, creative and wonderfully healing. The problems that bring us to therapy are also the paths to deeper self understanding and compassion.
I have also studied body psychotherapy and believe that the body and mind are not separate, but work together to express our pain and our joy in life. Our bodies can be a miraculous and highly attuned ‘mother’ to our mind and soul, so require inclusion in the therapeutic process. I am deeply nourished by my relationship with Nature and honour’ the wild and untamed’ inside, as well as around us, I practice outside as well as from my therapy room, I work face to face, in groups and via the internet and telephone.
I also work as a supervisor, a ceremonialist and am qualified in Lifespan Integration. I love to dance, drum, walk with my dog and be with people in our mutual quest for self understanding, psycho-spiritual growth and healing.
Please get in touch or visit my website http://www.petermcgowan.com for further information.
I am originally from Australia and have lived in London for 7 years. I am a Psychosynthesis counsellor and psychotherapist in training under supervision who works with clients to guide them on a journey of self discovery, self realisation and self fulfilment. Working in partnership with my clients, I create a sacred and supportive space to encourage and empower people towards discovery of their potential and their power through personal unfoldment. My holistic approach involves taking an energetic and spiritual perspective. I combine traditional talking therapy with, guided imagery, meditation, mindfulness, journaling, inner child work and energy healing techniques to help clients achieve awareness, emotional balance and freedom.
I believe that working through your pain, empowers you to find who you truly want to be. I can assist with a range of issues including, anxiety, addiction, high sensitivity, negative beliefs, personal power, depression, self-worth, confidence, loneliness, change and transition, relationships, direction, crisis and meaning and bereavement.
I work with individuals who are facing difficult relational dilemmas with significant people in their lives either personally or professionally. This includes those who suffer as a result of living with an addict and/or alcoholic family member.
These dilemmas can feel overwhelmingly daunting and be the source of enormous stress and anxiety. It is easy to lose a sense of ourselves and the positive sense of self-esteem that we once had. We can feel trapped and as if life is something to survive rather than enjoy.
I offer a peaceful and confidential space for you to explore your dilemmas, to be positive and accepting of yourself and to find self-compassion for the suffering you’ve experienced. This is a space within which you can reconnect to a sense of inner choice and create your own path to happiness and peace whilst respecting the choices of others who matter to you.
I am a fully qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with several years of experience.
I am a member of UKCP and abide by its code of ethics.
Looking into therapy requires curiosity and courage, so thank you for being here, you’ve come a long way!
Your life might feel like a crisis now or you might be slightly yet continuously disappointed. You might struggle with the world’s troubles or with your intimate relationships. You might feel the urge to find yourself or a need for an honest and authentic conversation. Wherever you’re on your journey, I am here to be your travel guide and companion. Together, we can navigate your journey towards a freer life and a wholesome relationship with yourself and others.
‘Courage therapy’ is the term that I choose to describe my approach. It stems from the psychosynthesis, the school I belong to, and the experience and inspiration I have drawn from the years of therapeutiс practice and working with people. The word ‘courage’ comes from the Latin word ‘cor’, ‘heart’. Courage therapy is a manifestation of your free will. The will to see your power, to find oneness with the universe, to set yourself free from the demands of society and find your own ways to contribute to it. To experience the miracle of being yourself and being with others.
Some of the challenges that clients come to me with: personal, spiritual and relationships crisis, alcohol and drugs addiction, sex-related issues (dysfunction, chemsex, addictions, shame), a new diagnosis of HIV and living with HIV, destructive relationship with social media, surviving abuse, facilitation of group dynamics in critical settings.
My own journey includes over 10 years in the corporate world before starting in psychosynthesis. I have the experience of migration, overcoming addictive behaviours, troublesome relationships, abuse and spiritual crisis. I love designing spaces and travelling places. I love to love people and hope to see a world where more of us are free.
If any of this resonates with you, please contact me to set the time for our first conversation. I would be happy to accompany you on your journey.
❤️

A space to explore your needs. Let’s find ways to live happier more productive lives. In therapy we can make sense of our feelings, behaviours and daily challenges, so we can overcome them with confidence and understanding. I am here to support you through this process. Together we can create a safe space to explore your needs in a way that feels right for you.
Symptoms can appear to be isolated problems in their own right and so we often overlook their root causes. Working to understand how your experiences inform your behaviour makes the symptoms more identifiable and in time, manageable.
You may be suffering with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, phobias, discontentment, patterns in your life that are holding you back; relationship difficulties, separation, divorce, family issues, children leaving home, death of parents, abuse, bereavement, trauma (ancestral, historical or recent), self-esteem (confidence and love for yourself), feeling sad, loss of identity, not knowing who you are, feeling lost for example. These are all normal issues that we all face and are often not talked about and included as part of life.
Addressing symptoms and their causes helps create a more well-rounded version of ourselves. By choosing therapy, you are making a gentle commitment to yourself to do this in a confidential, non-judgemental safe space. I am here to listen.
I work with individual adults of all ages. I offer a free initial telephone conversation which gives you the chance to ask me questions and for me to get a sense of what you might need. There is no obligation, just a time for you. The priority is for you to work with someone you can trust.
Therapy is an important healthy part of our lives, our inner world is just as important as our outer world – it is part of our health and who we are.
I am a Psychotherapist and Counsellor in Private Practice, UKCP registered. I offer weekly sessions in person and online. My practice has a few spaces in for clients at a lower fee rate.
Do you find yourself struggling to get through the day as a result of troubling situations or overwhelming experiences and issues? It may be that you are feeling down or life seems tedious or you feel you can’t go on. Perhaps you feel distance or discomfort in relationships with others and would like to feel more connected and cared for? I offer a safe, sympathetic and confidential space for us to work towards relief from emotional pain and distress. I help you find new meaning in life.
I work with people who feel lost and who long to reconnect with themselves and others; mostly Will has been dampened by a difficult history of upbringing in their family and early social care environment. The consequences range from mild to severe disruption in development, unique to each person. To cope, some develop addiction to substances, or processes, which damage self-esteem and erode confidence and belief in oneself. However, new patterns can be reshaped and shifts to healthier ways of Being for the rocky road of life are possible. Within the therapeutic space we aim to develop your personal self as a container for the many elements that drive you and to uncover the spark of your spiritual Self that inspires you from within.
I have an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology and the field of my thesis, finding transformation through the experience of trauma, established my special area of focus. Being an Iyengar Yoga teacher, working with the body-mind comes naturally to my practice to connect with how we somatise our psychological state. Through somatic experiencing we ground and revive your spirit of Self. Please see my profiles on Counselling Directory and Psychology Today for more detail about my practice, both accessed the Psychotherapy page on my website.
Considering psychotherapy or counselling is a significant step in choosing to value and invest in yourself by feeling seen and thereby enriching your experience in the world. I offer an initial assessment session for us to discover what is troubling you and to explore how our working together may support the work of transforming your life.
In a safe and confidential place, I will listen with empathy and compassion to your life story and difficulties you are experiencing on your journey. Psychosynthesis counselling offers a way of connecting to your creative and unique self. As we all have learned to adapt to our environment, it takes courage to become aware of outdated patterns that don’t serve us anymore. I work on the premise that we all have the capacity to heal our past to live our lives better. I will be with you in exploring how your feelings are impacted and help you to make different choices how you want to be in the world.
I practice from my home in North London. Contact me for an initial confidential consultation to explore what you want to work on and how we could work together. I offer negotiable rates for people on low income.
As a wealth manager in the City, I was attracted to explore psychosynthesis psychotherapy over 25 years ago. I had been finding it difficult to square a sense of who I truly was with the culture of my work environment.
I knew immediately all those years ago that responding to this call from my ‘potential self’ through the promise that psychosynthesis held for me, was the most responsible – and liberating – step I’d ever take.
I have continued an extensive training and practice in psychotherapy in tandem with a long career in the City and offer both private Psychotherapy and Senior Executive Leadership Coaching within organisations.
My particular interest lies in guiding and encouraging people towards self-actualization and the integration of their fullest potential in whatever sphere of life they are engaged. This process may be seen as a journey, which we share together for at time and requires only ‘the willingness and the courage to be’. To participate in life with joy is the goal at the heart of psychosynthesis therapy and coaching – and its achievement often comes in unexpected ways.
Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy & Leadership Coaching with Alex Boyle
What is Psychosynthesis?
Psychosynthesis is an advanced development of classical psychoanalytic, analytic, counselling and psychotherapeutic theory and techniques. Further, psychosynthesis broadens its vision to encompass the spiritual impulse common to all traditions, which leads the individual on in his or her quest for the unique meaning of their life and its ultimate fulfilment. Rooted thus in the mainstream classical approaches outlined above, psychosynthesis extends its field of endeavour to include techniques ranging through art, guided visualisation, dreamwork and imagination, sub-personality work and much more, so that each individual, in his or her own way, is offered an opportunity to re-evaluate their life and bring about change and personal growth, especially when:
- You want to become more at ease with yourself
- You are undergoing a major change in circumstances – for example, through illness, bereavement, employment or divorce
- You want to improve your relational skills or change relationship patterns
- You are experiencing various forms of stress or distress in your life
- You want to explore feelings of anger or depression
- You’d like to build self-confidence and self-esteem
- You are feeling a sense of isolation or meaninglessness in your life
- You are interested in your own personal growth and want to realise creative energies
Psychosynthesis, with its special focus on the development of human potential, aims to encourage people to acknowledge needs at all levels of being: this includes the health of the body, the emotions, the mind and the spiritual or transpersonal dimension. It recognises the influence of past events on the life of every human being and that each individual has a deeper centre of identity; it emphasizes each person’s potential for healing and growth and the individual’s capacities for choice.
Senior Executive and Manager Leadership Coaching
My coaching is based on the 5DL (5 Dimensions of Leadership) and GROW models for senior leaders, business executives and managers. For leaders to be effective quickly, they must be equipped with the right skills, knowledge and behaviours to enable them to lead their team and achieve their company’s business goals.
Drawing on my experience of over 30 years of a City career in fund management, equities analysis and business development and underpinned by my in-depth psychological training, I work with senior leaders to establish a plan of action enabling them to become effective and drive their business and personal goals forward more quickly. My coaching works with the individual’s personal mindsets and values, their relationships and how they operate within their work context.
For example, you may be:
- Taking on a new role or career change
- Implementing new strategy
- Resolving teamwork and management issues
- Encouraging wider collaborative processes across the organisation
- Seeking to improve employee engagement and their potential
I offer specific issue-based coaching – equipping you or your people to manage crucial or sometimes difficult conversations.
The qualities of leadership are explored and developed as we aim for realistic outcomes based on a series of 6 sessions held fortnightly over a 3 month period. These series can be extended to additional sets, if desired.

My name is Dolma Beresford and I offer psychotherapy and counselling in North London. I hold certificates in counselling, psychotherapeutic counselling and have a master’s degree in psychosynthesis psychology. I am both UKCP and BACP registered and accredited.
If you’re searching for a therapist then it’s likely you are experiencing some kind of distress, discomfort or dissatisfaction. This could be for many different reasons, i.e. relationships, family matters, bereavement, loss, ill health, work worries. Equally, you may have no idea of a cause but just a feeling of emptiness or lack of purpose. Therapy is not only helpful for big traumatic life events. It can also help for times when you are at a crossroads or are feeling “stuck”.
Everyone goes through challenging situations, and while you may have successfully navigated other difficult periods in your life, sometimes you need a little extra support. Through therapy, you are given a safe and confidential place to talk over your difficulties with someone who is trained to help you and committed to supporting you.
Please feel free to contact me and we can have an initial conversation about whether therapy may be appropriate for you. This initial conversation can be face to face or via email or telephone. Whatever makes you feel most comfortable and makes that initial step feel less daunting.
Whatever you bring, a gentle exploration of the issues usually reveals a deeper picture that helps you to make sense of what is happening.
I really look forward to hearing from you.
Therapy is about creating a safe, nurturing non-judgmental space to reflect, identify self-destructive behaviours and patterns, and process your difficulties. My aim is to help guide you through the process of re-connecting to your own inner wisdom and resources. Learning to trust yourself in your life decisions and rediscovering your own unique values, meaning and purpose.
Often in life when we experience painful things, there is a tendency to run away or try to ignore them. This can lead to struggles such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, and addiction. By exploring these difficulties in a safe, caring, and observant environment we can gently come to know them and in doing so can shift their hold on our lives. As well as letting go of the difficulties, we can begin the journey of bringing awareness to where our adaptations began and connect with who we truly are.
I am a fully qualified and accredited psychotherapist and have worked in private practice for over 30 years with individuals, couples, groups and supervising other practitioners. I find it deeply rewarding to support people with their lives, work, relationships and in creating a lifestyle that has meaning and purpose for them. This involves finding healthy connection with ourselves, other people and with our community/world, expressing the values that matter to us.
I like to be an “allie” to my clients through life’s challenges and changes – of which there are many. I strive to give empathy, respect and a supportive professional relationship on which you can rely. Together we look at any patterns and obstacles from the past, also at who and where you want to be, developing skills and resources so you can move towards it.
I work with relationship issues with partners, family and friends, and with a range of difficulties you may encounter, such as coping with stress, anxiety, depression, loss and change. These are opportunities for us to grow and to learn to treat ourselves with compassion. We cannot always choose what happens to us, but we can choose to respond to it in the best possible way. I am here to walk with you through the difficult times and to help you do that.
Making change requires self-awareness and courage.
My aim is that every person who walks through my door is given the tools and conditions they need – not just to survive, but also to grow and thrive.
I am a counsellor working with adults at every stage in life; how we relate to ourselves can open us up to more meaningful relationships in our outer world. I provide a safe, stable and creative place to explore both historical and present life patterns that can be worked with to illuminate and provide gateways to a more integrated, authentic self and sense of purpose.
Some areas I work with, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, life goals/personal development, creativity.

I am a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counsellor clinically accredited with UKCP, and a Registered Member of BACP. I am passionate in using imagination, the body and nature as resources, and mirrors of the soul
I provide a warm space for you to slow down and recollect yourself, through telling your story, and learning tools how to protect and care for yourself. I can help you understand how your past, present and potential future are all implicit in the symptoms, issues or longing that has led you to seek therapy. This can give you a deeper experience of who you are, and where you really want to go in life.
I have seen clients for ten years. Some presenting issues I have worked with are: anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, relationship issues, disability, life limiting illness, childhood trauma, suicidal thoughts, self harm, concerns around sexual or substance addictions, and sexual expression and identity. Working with issues, tends to lead on to clients deeper search for purpose and direction in life. Several clients also work with me on integrating spiritual experiences from for example a retreat, into their every day life.
The sessions are a mix of talking therapy and use of imagination and the body as resources, through guided visualisation, feeling in to sensations in the body, and drawing with crayon.
My work as a therapist is also influenced by my twenty years experience working as a Specialist Palliative Care Nurse supporting people living at the threshold of end of life.
I work short, medium or long term depending on client’s need and ability, and I am experienced in working online or through telephone. Please contact me via e-mail with any enquiries and to arrange an initial conversation or session.
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. Psychosynthesis has been described as ‘a psychology with a soul’, it recognises that each of us is on a journey through life that is both purposeful and meaningful, even though at times it can be difficult and painful. I am here to offer a sanctuary – some time for yourself in which to explore in depth what it is really like to be you.
I believe taking time out of our lives to step back and take stock is really important. I have been trained to help you explore your experience and will support and guide you to find new perspectives and direction.
I have practice rooms in both St Albans and Hendon, if you feel I can be of assistance to you please do not hesitate to call or email for a relaxed discussion about what you are seeking.
I trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis and graduated in 2001. I work with individual adults. I offer psychosynthesis psychotherapy and counselling, and also energy healing either in person or at distance. Most often these days clients like to have sessions which include both these elements, as energy healing can greatly speed up and enhance the benefits which can be felt from the counselling .
I have been practising psychosynthesis psychotherapy for over twenty years now. I continue to add skills often geared towards developing my work with energy – as I find this area increasingly fascinating, efficacious and rewarding.
As an accredited member of UKCP I work under the UKCP Code of Ethics and Practice. I am also a member of the APP ( Association of Psychospiritual Practitioners) .
Please see my website http://www.lighthealer.co.uk for more information about myself and my work.
Sometimes we lose our way, lose our connection to our true ‘Self’
As a psychosynthesis psychotherapist, my aim will be to guide you back to living as you were meant to be.
By releasing the shackles of limiting behaviours and ideas that formed through your upbringing and environment, choices become available to bring about a more purposeful and meaningful life.
Therapy is a space for reflection – A time to explore
The way I work is creative and informal. Coming from a background of the arts, my interests span cinema, theatre, art, music and poetry; all of which inform the healing techniques I find most powerfully transformative.
I came to Psyhosynthesis through my own experience of ‘Dis-ease’ which gives me personal insight and empathy with the suffering of others.
Everyone goes through challenging situations in life, and while you may have successfully navigated through other difficult periods in your life, there’s nothing wrong with seeking out extra support when you need it.
A psychotherapy session is a place where you can be listened to with acceptance and without judgement in a confidential, safe space. My aim is to support you as you explore thoughts, feelings and beliefs about yourself, your life and your relationships.
Working together in therapy you can become more aware of the deeply held beliefs and assumptions that keep you from the possibility of a richer and more harmonious life. I can help you to understand how present difficulties and wounding from past experiences may be linked. This can lead to greater self-awareness and an opportunity for you to challenge old ideas and patterns and choose to have things be different in the future.
I have been in practice since 2001 and doing this work is a great privilege. I originally trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis where I went on to become a course leader and group facilitator. I am a psychosynthesis psychotherapist, trainer, supervisor and training therapist and have worked alongside people in psychotherapy and counselling training for many years.
My way of working is grounded in the work of Assagioli and Jung and informed by a weave of threads; the trauma and resilience work of Somatic Experiencing, Marion Woodman’s BodySoul Rhythms work, the Myth and Story work of Dr Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Dream work, Authentic Movement, Open Floor and Mindfulness. I am also a Veriditas Trained Labyrinth facilitator. I offer Myth, Story & Labyrinth retreats and workshops online and in person in Kent.
I offer psychotherapy and supervision in person and online via Zoom.
As we come into a healthier relationship to emotional trauma and wounding from history, energy is freed up and the positive counterparts of what was repressed are made available to us. The methods of Psychosynthesis can result in a release of creativity, motivation, freedom and a feeling of increased well being.
Support to deal with a range of issues including: relationship difficulties, stress, and anxiety, trauma, addiction, sexuality, depression, bereavement, self-harm, abuse, low confidence, and self-esteem.
Psychological work helps us to understand how our personality has developed over time; spiritual work connects us to our deepest sense of purpose, meaning and values. Psychosynthesis embraces both, enabling us to find the ground that holds us through the inevitably changing waters of the river of life.
When we invite a kind attention and compassion to the places where we feel broken and wounded, we begin a process of healing, learning and bringing forth what is calling to be expressed in our life. This builds a deep reservoir of resilience, from which we are able to recognise and move beyond adaptations and limitations linked to early survival, reconnect with our inner wisdom and realise our true potential.
The long-term influences of shamanic practice, Eastern spirituality, yoga, meditation, poetry and myth run through my work. Alongside my practice as a psychotherapist and supervisor, I teach a safe, accessible balance of yin, yang and restorative hatha yoga that facilitates holistic wellbeing and a kinder relationship to the body, feelings and mind. My professional experience includes over thirty years in the corporate world, as an HR Director, leadership development expert and coach.
I am a psychotherapist working in private practice in Norwich, Norfolk. I am also a stress management therapist and have been working with clients in private practice since 2001 as an Autogenic Therapist. I normally work face to face but am able to work online or over the phone when meeting in person is not possible.
You might make the decision to come to therapy because a situation in life has arisen recently that is too emotionally difficult for you to handle alone. Or there may be longer term issues or patterns of distress coming from your history which you have been unable to resolve. Therapy helps you to gain insight into long term patterns of distress, and thus you are helped to begin the process of change. In your first session we will explore whether therapy is suitable for you or not, and then we will have a review after a few sessions before deciding to continue further. Each person’s needs are unique, so your own therapy is tailored to your own needs.
All sessions are strictly confidential.

Life throws up many challenges, especially in our health and our relationships, and whether we are alone or sharing our life with another, we can sometimes experience fear…doubt; the deepest love….the darkest hatred. We can feel lost…and belong; find joy for life but also experience addiction, depression and paralysing anxiety. There are times when we grow and thrive but other times when we can feel destroyed by life, by what happens to us, and around us.
As we move from one stage of life to another our relationship to ourselves, others, and the world calls us to heal from past traumas, mature internally and externally, and address the ‘crazy’ places we can inhabit as human beings. Psychotherapy is for those who want to do more than just ‘survive’.
I work holistically, with the whole person, and the whole of life. With our sense of separateness and connection to others; with hopes dreams and our suffering. My approach blends the wisdom of ancient teachings with the most contemporary theory in depth psychological and neuroscience.
As confidante and guide I walk alongside my clients in whatever capacity they need on a ‘road less travelled’.
Keith is an integrative psychosynthesis psychotherapist, qualifying at the Institute in 1990. I am also a supervisor, accredited by the Institute in 1996. I am BACP senior accredited (no: 508615) and UKCP registered (no: 930276). From 2003-2010 I was training director of the Psychosynthesis Trust, where I am still a trainer and supervisor. For about 10 years up to 2017 I have been Chair of Training Standards of the Humanistic & Integrative College of UKCP. I am currently completing Roger Evans’s 5DL coaching training. My other field is I am a qualified and registered Alexander Technique practitioner. For many years I have also been a Clinical Associate of Pink Therapy, a network of senior practitioners working with LGBT issues. In terms of therapy and supervision work, I would describe myself as a generalist, with specialisms in the areas of self-esteem, sexuality, relationships and life crises. I work mainly from home in the Rotherhithe/Bermondsey area, and at the Psychosynthesis Trust near London Bridge. (The latter offers disabled access.) My regular fee is £65 per hour for individuals, and £80 for couples, but can make reductions by arrangement.
I am a member of Cambridge Counselling Service, a centrally located practice offering private counselling and pyschotherapy. I see adult individuals in weekly sessions, addressing a wide range of issues, from depression, anxiety and trauma to problems with family, work and relationships. Every person I work with is on a unique journey, but all are striving for wholeness, integration, self-expression and purpose. These are the contexts I hold in my practice and the central principles that form and guide my work.
I offer a soulful, creative and relational approach to counselling and psychotherapy. I specialise in working with women at times of change, who are seeking to recover lost parts of themselves, find a new sense of purpose, meaning and identity or discover a way through grief, anxiety and depression.
I offer a confidential space in which to compassionately and collaboratively explore who you are, what you long for your difficulties as well as your hopes and dreams.
Approach
Working in an integrative and transpersonal way means working holistically, combining a range of approaches to suit to your needs. Alongside talking, you can work with art materials, image, metaphor, dreams and movement. These can help in exploring things that lie beyond words. No expertise is required to work in this way, and it will be your choice. I also draw on archetypal stories and creative writing. We can work with bringing gentle awareness to the wisdom of your body, to explore stored memories and tensions that may be ready to be released or to support you in finding a sense of calm.
Being in between stories, in the unknown place between who you were and who you might be, between holding on and letting go, can be disorienting and exhausting. Working together therapeutically can help you explore and work through feelings and dilemmas that arise at times such as menopause, empty nest, bereavement, childlessness, changing relationships, a new career or redundancy, so that you feel freer to embrace a new chapter in your life. You might be searching for meaning, purpose or identity, looking to fulfill your potential, live more creatively, claim your inner authority, work with unresolved trauma, or explore sexuality and spirituality.
Symptoms such as anxiety, depression, stuckness, confusion, low self esteem, and strategies like self sabotage, perfectionism, playing small, inner conflicts and repeating patterns are treated as messages. We would work with and look beneath these to see what they might be comunicating or protecting and what is seeking to emerge.
Short term work provides he opportunity to focus on specific difficulties or crises in the present; long term work offers the opportunity for a deeper exploration of issues which may have their roots in the past.
As therapy is 50 minutes weekly. I may suggest activities to support the work in between, such as journalling, short somatic or awareness-raising excercises.
My fees are: £70-85 per 50 minute session
Training and Experience
I have been working in private practice for 16 years. Alongside my core training in Psychosynthesis, I have completed a Certificate in Counselling Skills for Children using the Arts, several weekends training in Somatic Experience and Psychosynthesis, many trauma-informed trainings, an introduction to Internal Family Systems, Jungian based work, a Foundation in Systemic Constellations and a Certificate in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes. I am a ‘Sesame Practitioner’, and work with movement and story enactment to explore how you experience yourself and your place in the world. Within therapy these approaches can be integrated to suit your preferences and needs.
Otherwise – I have a background in education as a primary and secondary school teacher, and teacher trainer. I run training for therapists in use of the sand tray and creative tehcniques. I bring to the work a love of the arts and belief in the healing power of creativity and nature. I am a labyrinth facilitator, building mindfulness through walking.
I am a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist and Couples Counsellor, UKCP registered and have been working in this field for 20 years. I specialise in relationship issues as well as working with clients to fulfil their aspirations and potential. I am a Trainer at the Institute of Psychosynthesis and though I work in the context of psychosynthesis, my work is also influenced by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hahn.
Psychosynthesis practitioner, facilitator and guide. I began my professional career as a practising lawyer but branched out into other interests while living abroad with my husband and children. A ‘spiritual awakening’ in Indonesia eventually led me to train in psychosynthesis and from that time I have committed to a deepening of my experiential understanding of ‘Self.’ Since qualifying as a psychosynthesis psychotherapist in 2005, I have added energy therapy, Mindfulness practice and a training in supervision to my portfolio. Nowadays I balance a career in novel-writing with family life, and a thriving private practice in Penn (near High Wycombe), Buckinghamshire. I have a particular interest in the creative process, and use of the imagination in therapeutic healing.
I offer long and short term counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples in central London. I am UKCP Accredited and a Member of the BACP and hold both diplomas in counselling and psychotherapy and a MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am in regular supervision for both individual and couples’ work with a Tavistock trained couples’ supervisor.
Psychotherapy and counselling are immensely helpful tools when life challenges us beyond what we feel we can cope with: the sudden loss of a job, the breakup of a relationship or the loss of a loved one. But even when we are not dealing with something as big as this and may simply feel adrift, as if life has lost its meaning, or like we are struggling to reconnect to a sense of enthusiasm either professionally or personally, psychotherapy and counselling can help us to understand what is going on and enable us to go beyond limitations set by old patterns which no longer serve us, so that we may evolve into a better version of ourselves.
My commitment to you is to provide you with a safe sanctuary in which we can work collaboratively, to transform times of crisis or stuckness into growth spurts, through which you become a more resourceful, self-directed, fulfilled and happier person. I’ve been running a busy central London private practice for over 10 years and have had very successful outcomes in treating individuals with issues ranging from, anxiety, work stress, relationship problems, addiction, eating disorders, OCD, abuse, bereavement, loss of meaning, blocked creativity and a desire for personal growth and new direction in life.
As well as English, I speak Italian, French and Spanish and am happy to draw upon these with anyone for whom English is not their first language.

Psychotherapy for Soul
A client gained the insight, “I am a constantly evolving human being,” after several months of Psychotherapy for Soul (quoted with permission).

I quote his words because they clearly sum up what Psychotherapy for Soul is about, which is:
Evolving as a human being.
Expanding our Soul, which means our lived experience of being who we are.
Hence, living a life ever more fruitful, more abundant, with more meaning, more fulfilled, and with more zest for life.
Psychotherapy for Soul: Healing Past Traumas
However, shrinking of Soul begins in childhood:
Some of us suffer trauma through acts of violence against us.
Many of us suffer from the lack of loving care and regard that we need. As a result, we may feel untouched by love.
Even the best of those who care for us have lapses: Times of sadness, grief, pain, sickness, anger, or distraction. Just being human. With an infant’s finely tuned senses, each lapse is a wound to Soul. An infant for whom the only time is now.
As a result of such traumas, the wounding and shrinking of Soul carries over into adulthood. Then, we may suffer: Anxiety, panic attacks. Sadness, depression. Low self-confidence, self-esteem or self-worth. Troubled relationships. Whatever shrinks our lived experience of being who we are.
Therefore, Psychotherapy for Soul is about healing such childhood traumas. Thus, it is about restoring Soul. To help us find the path towards a more vital, fruitful, abundant, meaningful, and fulfilled life.

Psychotherapy for Soul: Visioning the Future
Equally, Psychotherapy for Soul is about the future. There are times when we begin to feel there must be more in life than we are enjoying. Which means, more joy, love, fulfilment, the realisation of whom we truly are.
Psychotherapy for Soul can be exciting, enriching and transforming. A catalyst for profound change in our experience of being alive, by:
Growing as a person. Finding qualities in ourselves we didn’t know were there.
Discovering and realising our potentiality more and more.
Gaining insight into our unique purpose. The meaning of our life. The values which inform and inspire it.
Then, our life can be a journey of self-realisation and joy. Ever more vital, fruitful, abundant, meaningful, and fulfilled.
My Psychotherapy Practice
At the heart of psychotherapy is the relationship between client and therapist. A personal, professional, confidential, therapy relationship. My role is provide a safe environment. In which you can explore your life experience and the issues which trouble you. During regular individual 50-minute sessions, we work together on whatever issues you choose to explore.
I have practiced as a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist for 20 years. I trained at The Institute of Psychosynthesis, London. During the last six years, I have studied the ancient healing practice of Shamanism. I trained at Eagle’s Wing College of Contemporary Shamanism.
Now, I have written a book ‘‘Soulfulness : The Marriage of Shamanic and Contemporary Psychology’’. I describe how a present day form of Shamanism can be integrated into a mainstream therapy practice like mine. From this work, I have developed Psychotherapy for Soul, bringing in a wealth of Shamanic thought and practice:
Shamanic Psychology: The profound wisdom embodied in the Medicine Wheel – the wheel of health and wholeness. Which illuminates many aspects of human existence and human frailty.
Shamanic Practice: Once widespread, these are empathic, gentle, and relaxed techniques serving the restoring and expanding of Soul.
I also provide Couple Counselling.
Location
My psychotherapy practice is in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. I serve clients in Berkshire, South Buckinghamshire, and South Oxfordshire.

I offer psychotherapy in South East London, near Crystal Palace. I use a range of approaches, in a confidential and non-judgemental space, to help you improve your wellbeing and overcome symptoms and issues you might be facing. My aim is that together we can help you improve your wellbeing which can include

• Feeling deeply listened to and supported
• Better understanding of the symptoms you experience and why they may have developed
• Developing skills and tools to manage difficult feelings, thoughts and body sensations
• More able to live in the here and now rather than through the legacy of your past experiences
• Knowing, understanding and managing different aspects of your personality
• Knowing and developing a stronger sense of who you feel you really are
• Clearer purpose and direction in life
• More confidence and self-esteem
• Better able to be in relationship with yourself and others around you
• Being more resilient and able to cope with life’s difficulties and their effects on you
Issues you might bring
You are probably looking for help because you are experiencing issues you are finding difficult to manage on your own. These issues and difficulties might include:
• feelings of anxiety or depression
• stress at work and burnout
• lack of confidence and self esteem
• feelings of loneliness and isolation
• difficulties in relationships
• living with the legacy of traumatic experiences
• stressful family life
• separation or divorce
• anger
• a sense of being out of control or panic
• lack of motivation and deeper meaning in life and a sense of something missing
• feelings of surviving rather than thriving.
• difficulty in making choices or in achieving certain goals, such as career changes.
I use a range of approaches. My original training was in psychosynthesis psychotherapy. I have since added knowledge and skills in attachment theory, sensorimotor, EMDR and trauma-informed therapy.
My approach
To support you achieve better wellbeing I use a range of approaches. My original training from 2006 was in psychosynthesis psychotherapy. Psychosynthesis therapy is a broad based approach that works to understand the issues and problems that you are currently facing by looking at aspects of your past. It looks at the patterns you have developed and seeks to uncover hidden or underdeveloped parts of yourself so that you can realise your future potential and find purpose and meaning.
I have since added knowledge and skills in attachment theory, sensorimotor and trauma-informed therapy. But the most important aspect of our work together will be whether you feel I am someone you would like to work with and are able, over time, so share your deepest concerns with. Research has shown that the most important factor across multiple different therapy approaches is the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client. A Clinical Psychology Review article in 2013 said “the therapeutic alliance (relationship between therapist and client) plays an extremely important role in the change process”.
So the most important decision you will need to make in choosing a therapist to work with is whether I am somebody you would like to work with. The initial assessment is an important way of helping you know this.
Approach and Duration
The number of sessions will depend on the issues or problems you are bringing, and whether they are specific or general in nature, and is always dictated by your needs and choices.
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and get to know each other. I will ask you general questions about yourself, your background and your reasons for seeking counseling. You will have the opportunity to ask me questions about my background and experience, the counseling approach I use and anything else you may wish to know.
Each session lasts an hour and we would review the work regularly.
For more information about how I work please see my website http://www.beyondclouds.co.uk

UKCP-Accredited Psychotherapist & Approved Supervisor | Psychosynthesis
I am a UKCP-accredited Psychotherapist and UKCP-approved Supervisor with over 25 years of clinical experience. My supervisory practice is rooted in Psychosynthesis, an approach that brings depth, meaning, and a genuinely holistic perspective to the work of supporting therapists in their professional development.
I work with qualified and trainee therapists across the UK, offering both in-person supervision in Hampshire and online supervision nationally. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy Supervision, and I teach and supervise at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London, where I have helped shape the training of the next generation of practitioners.
How I Supervise
Supervision with me is a reflective, collaborative space one where you can bring the full complexity of your clinical work without judgement. Drawing on Psychosynthesis principles, I pay attention to the relational, the symbolic, and the existential dimensions of the therapeutic encounter, alongside the practical and ethical. I am particularly interested in supporting therapists who are drawn to working with depth, and those navigating the challenges of identity and vocation in their professional lives.
Who I Work With
- Qualified psychotherapists and counsellors seeking ongoing clinical supervision
- Trainee therapists in placement or completing their clinical hours
- Therapists working within a Psychosynthesis or humanistic framework
- Practitioners open to integrating depth psychology into their supervision experience

Oxford Relationship Counselling
I am a qualified relationship counsellor (MA in Psychotherapy, Institute of Psychosynthesis, Diploma Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in Couple Counselling, Diploma Emotionally Focussed Therapy), registered with UKCP and specialising in working with couples.
There are times when the problems in your relationship become too much and you may feel stuck as a couple – distrust has replaced intimacy and you don’t know how to re-connect with your partner. As a relationship counsellor I do not take sides, but I help both partners to share difficult and often painful feelings in a safe and respectful setting. I will help you to develop skills and awareness so that you can resolve areas of conflict and find greater love and harmony between you.
The sessions are your space: I listen to you and offer feedback, insights and ideas. Your session can be an hour or an hour and a half, and, is at the same time every week. We normally work for 4 sessions and then have a discussion to find out whether you think the therapy is going to be helpful to you. I will indicate roughly how long you may need in order to feel the benefits in your life although it is your decision when you are ready to leave.
The cost of a session is £70, with a concessionary rate of £50, and I offer a student/unemployed rate of £20.
I understand how life can sometimes be hard, challenging, frustrating and lonely and how it can help to have therapy in those times to support and journey with.
I also understand how therapy can help make an individual empowered, accepting, liberated and aware by providing a safe, respectful and sometimes challenging space.
I work with my clients in a space where we explore together how we can hold the challenges of current life at the same time as living with purpose, meaning and creativity through psychological and spiritual growth.
Couple therapy is now included in my work, and is something I find of special interest. I have an Advanced Certificate in the Study of the Couple Relationship from Tavistock Relationships.
I am a psychotherapist and supervisor working in the Stourbridge area, West Midlands.

- Clients facing one off issues. This could be anything from a relationship break-down, to dealing with a problem at work, or removing a blockage to achieving a goal
- Clients who are affected by, and wish to address, deeper issues. For example, feelings of isolation, fear of intimacy, relationship problems, unresolved family issues, anxiety and depression
- Clients interested in personal development. For example, clients wishing to find who they really are, develop themselves and lead a more satisfying life
I have experience of working with clients in a range of areas including attachment issues, anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, becoming a mother and raising children, addictions and 12 Step programmes, eating disorders, offending, disability, financial problems, work related issues and spiritual matters.
Being passionate about my work, I continue to be amazed by what people are capable of in the right circumstances. On a cloudy day, the sun is still shinning, and so it is with you. I believe that within each of us, there is an unlimited depth of innate wholeness and wellbeing, but sometimes we get a little lost and need some help to find our way back. As an experienced guide, who has walked these paths many times, I will gladly help you find your way.
If you have any questions about how I can help, I would love to hear from you.

Each of my clients brings their own personal journey with their own unique set of challenges and potential. I work with helping my clients to not just manage the difficulties they face, but to help them release the energy that is locked in old patterns and habits, originating in their history, in order to transform their lives and realise their potential.
I am originally from New Zealand and lived in London for 17 years before moving with my young family to Stroud. My practice is in Westbury-on-Trym in Bristol.
I am a group facilitator and trainer at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London.
I have been a psychosynthesis psychotherapist for around 20 years. I like to work in a very supportive manner, really hearing you with full attention. I hold compassion and care for you as very important, even whilst challenging you if necessary. I aim to be authentic, honest and open. I keep our work totally confidential.
We can look at therapy as working through four phases:
Phase 1 – becoming aware of your inner world. Most of the time we do not think about our thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations, but each of these drives our behaviour and how we experience life. Often our thoughts, feelings and sensations have their roots in our past and may no longer be relevant, yet still colour our view of the world. To get going in therapy, the first step is beginning to notice what is going on inside you. Doing this is not only the first step, but in its own right brings change. You begin to see that you are more than your thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations: that these are only things that you know. Seeing this starts to bring more peace, love and happiness to your life;
Phase 2 – builds on your growing self knowledge by examining it further, particularly memories and beliefs. When we look at these carefully, we often find that they do not make as much sense as we have imagined. By exploring them we begin to build a more coherent story about our life and to feel more coherent and whole. With this comes increasing flexibility in dealing with life;
Phase 3 – is where we move past the ways we have had to adapt ourself to life, moving past denial, shame and guilt. We begin to open to our deeper needs and our life purpose, meaning and values, rather than those we have inherited;
Phase 4 – takes our new found learning into the world and into all our relationships, whether at home, work or leisure. In this phase our new found openness to ourself allows us to have more open, richer and intimate relationships with others. We learn to love and be loved without betraying ourself.
Although I speak of four phases, in practice all these phases are simultaneous. A better picture would be of a spiral, where we cycle through these phases again and again, but each time at greater depth.
Please note that I am no longer taking on any new individual clients – many apologies.

Our lives are always full of challenge, challenges which can be both exhilarating and confronting as the wheel of life keeps turning, and life always keeps happening.
Meeting these challenges; Emotional healing and the healing/saving of our planet, is both difficult and exciting, this is true in every era but for us its in the here and now.
An active Commitment to this Self healing and growth process, journeying in this together, side by side, is exceptionally important. The contribution which we make both to ourselves, our families, friends and communities, is an action
For each small step we make that helps our own wounding, in turn makes a consequential impact on the world around us.
The impulse to come to therapy often stirs because something in our lives feels cracked or broken. This crack hurts and we reach out because we want the hurting to stop. Within the tradition of depth psychology this healing is not about patching over the crack, it’s about recognising a more expansive experience of ourselves which is pushing into our lives and seeking to be born. For the crack which brings us into therapy is also a doorway to a more authentic, purposeful and vital life.

I offer one to one sessions for counselling and psychotherapy where I provide a safe space in which you may explore whatever is pressing for you. You may want to work on a particular issue or explore reoccurring experiences, patterns of behaviour or styles of relating. You may be suffering physically, psychologically or emotionally, and may need to express your concerns, fears and hopes. Perhaps you are searching for healing and wholeness, or are suddenly confronted with a crisis and are very anxious. Maybe you just need to talk, tell your story, and just be how you are without any need to be anything in particular for anyone. You may be curious about what it is you really value and wish to explore this.
I am fully committed to helping you resolve or dissolve your problems.
If we really want to come to know ourselves, at some point we have to stop running and reflect on how we got to where we are.
I am currently offering sessions online over Skype, Zoom or by telephone, please contact me to discuss.
I am no longer taking on new clients. I am available for supervision.
‘When the existence and marvellous power of the deeper self is recognised, the “Know Thyself” of the Delphic Oracle acquires a new and profounder meaning. It no longer means only “analyse your thoughts and feelings and actions”, it means study your most intimate self, discover the real being hidden in the depths of your soul, and learn its marvellous potency.” This quote from Roberto Assagioli is one of my favourite and says it all.
